Which AI assistants can connect to LastList?

LastList connects to Gemini and Claude through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), and to Alexa through the LastList Alexa skill. Any assistant that supports custom MCP connectors can use LastList.

What can the assistant do with my lists?

It can read and manage your shopping and inventory lists: add and remove items, check items off, handle 'I'm out of X', find recipes you can make from what you have, add missing recipe ingredients to your list, and find nearby stores. It cannot check out or make payments.

Is connecting an AI assistant safe?

You sign in to your own LastList account when you connect, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings in the LastList app. The assistant only gets the access you grant, and anything it adds is labeled as added by the assistant.

Q: Do I need to pay to connect LastList to an AI assistant?

LastList itself is free. The assistant may have its own requirements. Gemini's custom app connections currently require a Google AI Ultra plan and are available to personal Google accounts in the United States. Claude custom connectors require a paid Claude plan. The Alexa skill is free.

Gemini and Claude both connect through the open Model Context Protocol. When either one asks for a custom app or MCP server link, paste the LastList address below.

You will sign in to your LastList account when you connect, which links the assistant to your lists.

Gemini (Spark)

On a computer, open gemini.google.com/apps, scroll to the bottom, and choose to enter a custom app link. Paste the LastList link above, then follow the prompts to sign in and allow access. Once connected, you can use LastList from Gemini on the web and on your phone.

Note: Gemini's custom app connections currently require a Google AI Ultra plan and are available to personal Google accounts in the United States, in English. This is Google's requirement for the feature, not LastList's.

Claude

In Claude, open Settings, go to Connectors, and choose to add a custom connector. Paste the LastList link above and follow the prompts to sign in and allow access. Custom connectors require a paid Claude plan.

Alexa

Alexa uses the free LastList skill instead of a link. Enable "LastList" in the Alexa app, link your account, then say "Alexa, launch last list" to add items, hear your list, and find recipes. On an Echo device, keep the session open and say "exit" when you are done.
